Nature Reclaims: Images of Healing
Nature Reclaims: Images of Healing is an ongoing pop-up exhibition exploring what becomes possible when we allow nature, care, and imagination to re-enter the spaces where harm, extraction, and disconnection have taken root.
The project accompanies my broader work on redefining business as an entity that solves social issues and creates social value in a financially sustainable way. Through images, reflections, and participatory workshops, Nature Reclaims invites viewers to question the assumptions that shape our current economic and social systems.
What if business was not designed primarily to extract, compete, and grow endlessly, but to repair, regenerate, and create the conditions for life to flourish?
What if healing was not treated as separate from business, technology, education, or urban life, but as a central design intention?
The exhibition functions as a travelling visual and reflective space that accompanies me to conferences, workshops, and public conversations. Rather than being fixed in one gallery, it appears temporarily in different contexts as a companion to the ideas I am developing and learning environments I am designing through Tianmei World Academy, at the intersection of environmental psychology, social innovation, and regenerative business.
The Nature Reclaims: Images of Healing inaugural exhibition was exhibited in Berlin at C-Space between March 1-8, 2026 during my time as a Klaus Töpfer Sustainability Fellow at the Research Institute for Sustainability at GFZ (RIFS). The exhibition opened conversations about nature regeneration and the role of personal and collective healing in transforming the way we understand business and social change.
It was later exhibited partially at the University of Lausanne as part of the conference Towards a Just and Habitable World: Exploring the Role of Technology, where I facilitated the workshop Beyond the Techno-Fix: Redefining Business Intentions in Technology Design for a Just and Habitable World.
During the Lausanne workshop, participants engaged with concepts such as the Invisible Backpack, systemic change, mental health, business intentions, and the hidden psychological structures that shape how we design technologies, organizations, and futures. Their reflections showed that the exhibition and workshop created space not only for intellectual discussion, but also for deeper questioning:
How do we care for those who have been hurt, and those who hurt others from places of prior hurt? How do invisible histories shape our interactions?
How can tools for self-understanding become tools for transforming organizations and systems?
The third stop for Nature Reclaims: Images of Healing was in Turku, Finland, where it accompanied my participation in the Futures Conference 2026 organized at the University of Turku. There,I gave both a presentation about Tianmei World Academy as a living laboratory that embodies the principles I am talking about and a workshop on rehumanizing profit, exploring regenerative business, healing-centered transformation, and the role of environmental psychology in imagining more just and habitable futures.
